Welcome and thank you for viewing Lorna's website.
Having won awards for some of her earliest photographs and paintings Lorna was encouraged to pursue her artistic career. Lorna's body of work includes painting as well as landscape, wedding and portrait photography. She particularly enjoys getting up-close and observing the ordinary only to be surprised by the extraordinary that awaits discovery as she takes time to observe. With her landscape photographs she favors vivid colours and the lushness of the scenery of the New Zealand coast and bush, particularly in her own front-yard where she lives: the Coromandel Peninsula. Her candid portraits are realised as she takes time to relate to her subject, capturing moments and expressions as they unfold.
